For my design, I chose a arch because it was strong and let me reduce the cost of my bridge by a lot. To reduce the cost I made a lot of the bridge using high-strength low-alloy steel. Using all carbon steel didn't work for me because when I lowered the size, it either broke or was too expensive. The other type of metal was strong and allowed me to reduce the size. I reduced the size all I could with my design and the cost came out to be $213,617.29.
